Christine O'Conner
Christine was a child prodigy whose early career was given a boost by telephone books. Raging with hormones and heavily influenced by the British bands of the 80's, Christine took her musical obsession and ambition to the extreme and moved to London where she quickly embraced the New Romantic/Post Punk/Goth scene and spent a number of years on the run from pesky British immigration officers. Continuing to develop her original material while fronting the band 'The Valkyries', she spent most of her nights working as a solo entertainer singing and playing piano in swanky hotels, restaurants and private parties, often for celebrities like Anthony Hopkins, Cathy Bates, The Corrs and Barenaked Ladies.

Being a well-rounded hungry artist, she also took up the business of handpainting leather jackets and boot-leg t-shirts for her fellow London club goers. Her work as a singer, musician, musical director, composer, actor and comedy writer includes bands, theatre, TV, film, radio and cabaret. A lifetime of performing cover songs has left her with a hatred of creepy, low life venue managers and cheap, obese tourists, but luckily an exstensive repertoire that includes hundreds of Pop, Rock, Alternative, Jazz, Blues, and Show Tunes from the 1920's to the present. Unfortunately, she never learned any Crash Test Dummies songs, so she had to learn them in a week because in the Fall of 2001 she toured with the band in Europe, replacing Ellen Reid on keyboards and vocals.

In April 2000, feeling restless and slightly weather beaten, Christine said 'Cheerio!' to London life and set out to conquer her home town, NY. Shortly after, she joined forces with Shane O'Connor, a hard-edged guitar player who came up through the school of NYC Punk and Hard Core. Together, they formed 'Lovepatch', today known as 'Alowicious'. Currently, he also plays with The Danglers in NYC.
